SOLO OUTING
Hey y'all heyyyyy. I hope everyone had an amazing weekend. Today is already the last day of July; Whew, can you guys believe it. The year is literally over. I hope your 3rd quarter started on a good note. And, if it didn't, it's ok as well. Don't put too much pressure on yourself because that's part of business.

So, I was talking to someone last week and that person wanted to attend an event. She told me she didn't want to go by herself. Now, there's nothing wrong with wanting to go to an event with a friend or a few girlfriends because of course it's more fun to have people you know with you there. But, it was a networking event. My question for her was " Isn't a networking event supposed to be about meeting new business owners or other women trying to grow in business?" She said yeah but she still would rather go with someone. This isn't the first time I've heard this by the way.

Ok, I'm sure you're probably saying, "Mimi I don't see anything wrong with her wanting to go with a friend" There is absolutely nothing wrong with going on with a friend or dragging a friend to any events. I love to see it. But, I also want us to get out of our comfort zone where, we must always have someone with us every time we go out, well some of us. Solo outing can be the best thing to do. It can help you develop who you are, your sense of self love and what truly interest you. It can also be restorative, build your self-confidence and make it easier for you to maintain some boundaries.

How to do it? The best way to start doing it if you are new at is, to treat yourself as you would treat others. Think of how you would treat your friends or partner if they were around you. Be open minded to exploring new things or even old things that you use to do with others, try doing them by yourself. It could be a stop at a coffee shop, Dinner or even traveling which I think everyone should try traveling by themselves at least once in their lifetime. You'll be surprised to see how amazing it feels to connect with different cultures.
So when was the last time you did a solo outing? If you haven't, are you willing to try it? And by the way, your girl is not playing with these looks okayyyy? (Smiling) Don't forget to shop with us and let me style you for your next outing. I have to say something to get you all smiling. Hope you enjoy this read and I look forward to reading your comments.
